Abstract
The piece is a review of Roberto Schwarz's 'Two Girls' and Other Essays, edited by Francis Mulhern, and published by Verso. It gives the reader an overview of Roberto Schwarz's intellectual project and formation. It comments on the essays and tries to substantiate the claim that Schwarz is 'the finest dialectical critic since Adorno'. This is done mainly through a discussion of one the key categories that organise his thought, objective form, and also by a discussion of his practice of spatial dialectics.

Although the legislation of Argentina and Mexico established the obligatory nature of comprehensive sexual education in schools, it has not been implemented effectively. One of the hypotheses that respond to this is the absence or deficiency of teacher training in the subject. Due to the above and taking into account the importance of physical education in the implementation of comprehensive sexual education, the objective of this study is to examine and compare the implementation of comprehensive sexual education in physical education teacher training institutes in Argentina and México. from the perspective of advanced and recently graduated students (in the last five years). With this objective, a descriptive and cross-sectional quantitative study of comparison between two means was carried out, applying a questionnaire that inquired about the training in comprehensive sexual education of the 96 participants who collaborated with the research. The results showed that despite the fact that the participants from both countries recognize the importance of providing comprehensive sexual education, its implementation in physical education teacher training institutes is still in process. ; Si bien la legislación de Argentina y México establecieron la obligatoriedad de la educación sexual integral en los institutos escolares, no se ha implementado eficazmente. Collective memory has been defined as them emories shared by a community, which have an impact in the formation of its identity. Its sources include cultural memory, composed by cultural artifacts, and communicative memory, transmitted through everyday interactions. Other variables that have been studied in relation to collective memory include generational belonging and ideology. This study aimed to examine the role of the source of collective memory (cultural and communicative), generational belonging (lived and distant memories) and ideology (right and left-wing) in the recall of the actors of the 1976 coup d´état and the 2001 economic crisis in Argentina. One hundred and thirty-two participants completed a free-recall task on one of these two events. Results showed that participants with cultural and distant memory, and leftwing ideology recalled a higher proportion of actors. Results also indicated that when participants had cultural memory, differences between generational and ideological groups emerged. ; La memoria colectiva ha sido definida como el conjunto de recuerdos que comparte una comunidad, el cual incide en la formación de su identidad. Sus fuentes incluyen la memoria cultural, compuesta por artefactos culturales, y la memoria comunicativa, trasmitida mediante las interacciones cotidianas. El objetivo de este estudio fue examinar el rol de la fuente, la pertenencia generacional (recuerdos vividos y distantes) y la ideología (derecha e izquierda) en el recuerdo de los actores del golpe de Estado de 1976 y de la crisis económica de 2001 en Argentina. Ciento treinta y dos participantes completaron una tarea de recuerdo libre acerca de uno de estos dos eventos. Los resultados indicaron que aquellos participantes que tenían memoria cultural, recuerdos distantes e ideología de izquierda recordaban una mayor proporción de actores. Además, con relación a los actores específicos, cuando los participantes tenían memoria cultural, se encontraron diferencias entre grupos generacionales e ideológicos.

Abstract. In this study, an engineering geological analysis for the assessment of the rock failure susceptibility of a high, steep, rocky coast was developed by means of non-contact geostructural surveys. The methodology was applied to a 6-km coastal cliff located in the Gulf of Tigullio (Northern Tyrrhenian Sea) between Rapallo and Chiavari. The method is based on the geostructural characterisation of outcropping rock masses through meso- and macroscale stereoscopic analyses of digital photos that were taken continuously from a known distance from the coastline. The results of the method were verified through direct surveys of accessible sample areas. The rock failure susceptibility of the coastal sector was assessed by analysing the fundamental rock slope mechanisms of instability and the results were implemented into a Geographic Information System (GIS). The proposed method is useful for rock failure susceptibility assessments in high, steep, rocky coastal areas, where accessibility is limited due to cliffs or steep slopes. Moreover, the method can be applied to private properties or any other area where a complete and systematic analysis of rock mass structural features cannot be achieved. Compared to direct surveys and to other non-contact methods based on digital terrestrial photogrammetry, the proposed procedure provided good quality data of the structural features of the rock mass at a low cost. Therefore, the method could be applied to similar coastal areas with a high risk of rock failure occurrence.

Abstract. Over the past century the municipal area of Genoa has been affected by recurring flood events and several landslides that have caused severe damage to urbanized areas on both the coastal-fluvial plains and surrounding slopes, sometimes involving human casualties. The analysis of past events' annual distribution indicates that these phenomena have occurred with rising frequency in the last seventy years, following the main land use change due to the development of harbour, industrial, and residential areas, which has strongly impacted geomorphological processes. Consequently, in Genoa, civil protection activities are taking on an increasing importance for geo-hydrological risk mitigation. The current legislative framework assigns a key role in disaster prevention to municipalities, emergency plan development, as well as response action coordination in disaster situations. In view of the geomorphological and environmental complexity of the study area and referring to environmental laws, geo-hydrological risk mitigation strategies adopted by local administrators for civil protection purposes are presented as examples of current land/urban management related to geo-hydrological hazards. Adopted measures have proven to be effective on several levels (planning, management, structure, understanding, and publication) in different cases. Nevertheless, the last flooding event (4 November 2011) has shown that communication and public information concerning the perception of geo-hydrological hazard can be improved.
